Conventional metal brackets
No matter the age, these brackets are still the most common among children and adolescents, however many adults also wear them because they are robust, strong and very efficient.
Clarity Advanced Aesthetic Ceramic Brackets represent an improvement over Clarity Ceramic Brackets with metal grooves. Clarity Advanced Ceramic Brackets offer both aesthetics and treatment efficiency
Aesthetic transparent brackets
The transparent sapphire brackets Inspire Ice, represent an important tool for the orthodontist who wants to give an aesthetic solution to their patients in orthodontic treatments with fixed appliances.
2. Orthodontic study
Orthodontic treatment is extremely complex, involving multiple factors and details, if the orthodontist does not devote adequate time to study the cases may not work properly. We give the best possible treatment to our patients without surprises in treatment or budget. To achieve this accuracy and precision before starting any type of orthodontic treatment, we study dental problems thoroughly and meticulously.
3. The treatment plan
The treatment plan is our roadmap in the treatment. If you know where you are going, you can offer and perform shorter, more efficient treatments, at a lower price for the patient and avoid treatment failures. A good treatment plan is developed based on the needs and possibilities of the patient, both functional and aesthetic, using the records we have obtained in the orthodontic study.
4. Placement of the brackets
One of the most important steps in the treatment of orthodontics with fixed orthodontics is the cementation or the placement of the brackets. The correct placement of the brackets will determine the level of finish of the treatment and the small details that make a case finish excellent or not. If the brackets are not perfectly placed in the correct position the treatment will not be optimal. In Friedländer orthodontics we are very aware of the importance of precision, so we choose to use the indirect bonding method of brackets.
5. Follow-up visits
Once the braces are placed, the treatment routine begins with your periodic visits. It depends on the technique we use, the phase of the treatment we are in, and other factors. Visits will be made every 4, 6 or 8 weeks. The orthodontic treatment begins with the leveling phase, goes through the work phase and ends with the finishing and retention phase.
6. End of treatment and retention
The retention phase begins just after the active treatment ends with the placement of retention or containment. Dr. Friedländer has a rigorous retention protocol since each patient has different retention needs. Not everyone needs the same retention. In Friedländer Orthodontics we make sure that your teeth do not move at the end of the treatment and that the results last as long as possible. The retention devices that we place are usually extremely comfortable and bearable.
Dental care with Brackets
Dental care before, during and after orthodontic treatment is important for maintaining good oral health. During orthodontic treatment with brackets, more attention must be given to oral hygiene by brushing the teeth for a longer time and after each meal.
We recommend using specific toothbrushes for orthodontics, oral irrigators, special dental floss for orthodontics and professional hygiene when necessary.
The first approach with our patients, is also the space of time dedicated to knowing the needs and doubts that each person may have, and it is the opportunity for you to know the human being behind the specialist that is going to treat you. Because we are people treating people and that is the most important thing.
