Brackets

Conventional metal brackets

No matter the age, these brackets are still the most common among children and adolescents, however many adults also wear them because they are robust, strong and very efficient.

Self-ligating metal brackets

Self-ligating or low friction brackets are brackets with a modern locking mechanism that eliminates the need to attach the wire to the brackets with the ligatures. Currently in Orthodontics Friedländer uses several self-ligating systems like Damon System.

Dental care with Brackets

Dental care before, during and after orthodontic treatment is important for maintaining good oral health. During orthodontic treatment with brackets, more attention must be given to oral hygiene by brushing the teeth for a longer time and after each meal.

We recommend using specific toothbrushes for orthodontics, oral irrigators, special dental floss for orthodontics and professional hygiene when necessary.
